Ari Dada Kalimba — Maurizio Galimberti
Visions between surrealism and avantguarde.
Shooting in progress with Arianna Grimoldi (model), photos and making of the art piece. The workshop is part of an artistic journey that photographer Maurizio Galimberti is undertaking with Arianna Grimoldi, his muse, aiming at revisiting the avantgarde nudes. The photographer’s will is that of bringing into portraits that cosmic spatiality he searches for in architectural images.
Maurizio Galimberti was born in Como in 1956; he currently lives in Milan. In 1991 he began working with Polaroid Italy and soon becomes its official testimonial realizing the book Polaroid Pro Art, published in 1995. He was named “Instant Artist” and is the creator of the Polaroid Collection Italian. Continuing his research with Polaroid, Galimberti reinvents the technique of the “photographic mosaic” that initially suited to portraits, but soon also used for landscape architecture and city. Maurizio Galimberti regularly holds workshops of creative photography and his works are part of some of the most important photography collections. He currently works between the United States and Italy.
