The exhibition of Boris Mikhailov’s work presents pictures from the series At Dusk (1993) and a more recent one: Promzona (Industrial Zone, 2011). Disregarding the gap of almost 20 years between the two projects, they both address the importance of the past in constructing the image of today. Capturing the city’s atmosphere and chronicling the life of its inhabitants Mikhailov continuously refers to the history of his country. He reminds us of its tough luck and shows its manifestation in the everyday life of people.
