The PhotoBoox Award is an international contest dedicated to photobooks promoted by Photolux with ceiba editions and Grafiche dell’Artiere, realized with the cooperation of Miami Photo Fest and the media partnership of Eyes Open! magazine.
The award is aimed to recognize the best unpublished editorial projects, giving them a broad visibility and a chance for publication. The winning project will be produced and published by ceiba editions with the contribution of Photolux and Grafiche dell’Artiere.

The PhotoBoox Award 2019 goes to Anna Maria Antoinette D’Addario with her dummy Farewell Angelina.The jury was touched by the poetic way the artist worked on grief as a response to the tragic death of her sister. The awarded dummy acts as a catalyst in order to deal with loss and sadness.

The jury composed by Irene Attinger, Andrea Copetti, Tommaso Parrillo, Eva-Maria Kunz and Gianmarco Gamberini also awarded with a Special Mention:
395 notti byAlessia Bressan for the obsessive documentation, the relation between images and text
A polaroid for a refugee by Giovanna Del Sarto for the determination of the photographer to deal with the question of the refugees in Europe and the adequacy of content and form.
