The Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation Photography Grant 2016 went to the Albanian photographer Enri Canaj and Ismail Ferdous from Bangladesh.

Enri Canaj’s proposed the project The Wind Cries War that document the resettlement of refugees in Greece and Germany and their process of integration into their new environments.
Ismail Ferdous with his project After Rana Plaza documents the struggles of survivors and subsequent response to the devastating collpase of a textile factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2013.
