On the occasion of the 2022 edition of the Photolux Festival. International Biennial of Photography, Photolux and intarget promote an international open call aimed at photographers, photographers and photographic collectives, professionals and non-professionals, of any gender and nationality.
The projects presented must offer an unedited and original interpretation of the Festival’s theme: love.
The winning project will be produced and exhibited in one of the official venues of the Festival and included in the catalog.

The winner of intarget Photolux Award 2022 is An Ascension by Michael Swann!
“After a rich discussion, also due to the high number and quality of submitted projects, the jury is happy to have unanimously selected the winning project of the 2022 edition of the intarget Photolux Award. British photographer Michael Swann, in his project “An Ascension”addresses the themes of love, hope, queerness and devotion in a very personal way, questioning the complex relationship between love, commitment, sensuality, and lingering feelings of guilt. Thanks to a very strong coherence that combines metaphor with diaristic imagery, viewers find themselves immersed in a sort of journey – both intimate and universal – in which they are asked to connect with the work through their own experiences, relationships and interpretations.”
