PhotoBoox Award 2019 | Winners
We are glad to announced the winner of the Photoboox Award 2019:
The winner is: Anna Maria Antoinette D’Addario with “Farewell Angelina“.
The jury was touched by the poetic way the artist worked on grief as a response to the tragic death of her sister. The awarded dummy acts as a catalyst in order to deal with loss and sadness.
The jury composed by Irene Attinger (MEP), Eva-Maria Kunz (ceiba editions), Gianmarco Gamberini (Grafiche dell’Artiere), Andrea Copetti (TIPI bookshop) and Tommaso Parrillo (Witty-Kiwi) awarded with a Special Mention Alessia Bressan‘s dummy “395 notti” – “We appreciate the obsessive documentation, the relation between images and text” – and Giovanna Del Sarto’s dummy “A polaroid for a refugee“. The jury concerning “395 notti” appreciate the obsessive documentation, the relation between images and text. Concerning “A polaroid for a refugee” the jury was impressed by the determination of the photographer to deal with the question of the refugees in Europe. We also like the adequation of content and form.
