Michele Borzoni (Florence, 1979) graduated in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at the International Center of Photography in 2006. In the same year he attended the Eddie Adams Workshop, Barnstorm XIX. His work Srebrenica, struggle for justice has been awarded the First Prize at Yann Geffroy Award 2007. He won the New York Times Scholarship for ICP students and in 2009 he received the Tierney Fellowship. In 2010 he won the first prize of the World Press Photo in People in the News singles category and in 2012 he was selected by Photo District News as one of the PDN “30 new and emerging photographers to watch”. Since 2006 he has been working with Italian and international magazines among which, D di Repubblica, Financial Times Magazine, Geo, Internazionale, Io Donna, Le Monde, L’Espresso, Newsweek, Time, Vanity Fair Italy and others. He’s part of TerraProject collective. He lives and works in Florence.
