Chiara Dall’Olio (Bologna, 1973), after been graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Bologna, since 2001 she curated historical and contemporary exhibitions of artistic photography. In the authors and subjects she always reserves a particular attention to the photographic techniques used, to the implications that they pose in the study of the photographer’s work. In recent years she has focused on authors who use archival materials, revisiting them in a contemporary way. From 2008 to 2012 she was director of the Fotomuseo G. Panini in Modena, Italy. From 2012 to 2017 she was curator for Fondazione Fotografia Modena for which she has curated numerous exhibitions of historical and contemporary photography, she has collaborated in the realization of the entire exhibition activity (including the solo show of Edward Weston, Walter Chappell, Mimmo Jodice, Hiroshi Sugimoto ), as well as taking care of the Foundation’s photographic collections.
